This house with its covered entryway belong to one of the local white entrepeneurs

An Eskimo home, there are no trees in the area and so the lumber used is that saved from previous houses or driftwood It is very expensive to have lumber


The hospital which was subsequently destroyed in a fire. The Alaska Native Service provided the facilties
