The Kotzebue Police Department is looking for new applicants for the Reserve Police Officer Program. This unit consists of community members that are interested in serving their community as reserve police officers.

Reserve Police officers are unpaid volunteers whose main interest is the betterment of their community.

Basic standards for a police reserve officer are the same as basic Police Officer standards.

You must be:

1. 21 years of age,

2. In good physical condition,

3. A high school graduate or equivalent,

4. Have no felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions that would prevent you from becoming a police officer in the State of Alaska, and

5. Possess an Alaska Drivers License or be able to lawfully obtain one.

Qualified applicants must submit to a thorough background investigation.
