To prepare you for your Road Test, here are some important things you will need to know and/or provide:
1. You must provide us with either a valid passing test score from the Northwest Arctic Borough - Department of Motor Vehicles (NWAB-DMV) Office or you must provide valid instructional permit.
2. Payment in the amount of $30.00 must be paid at least 24 hours prior to taking your road test. This fee is non-refundable. The exact amount is appreciated; we accept cash or money order.
3. You are required to provide your own vehicle. KPD will not provide a vehicle for you.
If you are borrowing a vehicle, please make yourself familiar with it before taking your test.
4. The following items must be in working order on the vehicle:
Headlights
Tail lights
Brake lights
Turn Signals
Horn
Emergency Brakes
Seat Belts
Mirrors
No broken or cracked glass
You will be required to parallel park.
5. Upon your successful completion and passage we will provide you with a Driver Examination Certificate. You must provide this certificate to the NWAB-DMV Office in order to obtain a driver's License Card.
